PHYTOSOCIOLOGICAL INVESTIGATION OF COASTAL WATER SWAMP PLANT COMMUNITES OF AZERBAİJAN

Abstract
Abstract . This study was carried out during 2007 and 2018 . The aim was to report the vegetation of swamps of Azerbaijan. A total of 95 plant associations. We recorded 33 pure aquatic associations, 13 wet grass associations, 8 aquatic forest associations and 16 hydrohalophyte associations. There are 24 plant associations in coastal water-swamp habitats. These associations are; Phragmitetum communis, Typho angusfiliae-Phragmitetum communis, Scirpo-Phragmitetum communis, Typhetum angistifolia, Typhetum latifoliae, Potamogetono-Typhetum domingensis, Scipetum lacustris, Potamogeton -Schoenoplectetum litoralis, Butomo- Eleocharitetum palustris, Cladio-Schoenetum lacustris ass. nova, Scirpetum marittimi, Triglochino-Bolboschoenetum marıtımı, Sparganietum poluedrum ass. nova, Butometum umbellati, Caricetum dilutae ass. nova, Caricetum vəsicariae, Typhetum angustifoliae ass. nova, Schoenoplectetum litoralis ass. nova, Calamagrostisətum epigejosae ass. nova, Hippurisetum vulgarisae ass. nova, Caricetum ripariae ass. nova, Cyperetum pseudocyperae ass. nova, Heleocharetum iupalustrisi ass. nova, Heleocharetum euuniglumisi ass. nova. troops. Out of these 13 associations have already been reported, and 11 are newly described associations for the aquatic vegetation of Azerbaijan.
