Abstract. The area and NDVI indicators of forest vegetation were estimated via the QGIS application
of the stud area. The maximum indicators of the NDVI are 0.45 - 0.59 characteristic of forest
vegetation. The results of field studies made it possible to identify a total of 21 associations, 19
formations, and 7 formation classes within the forest and shrubland vegetation types.
The projective cover of the forest area is equal to approximately 20% of the total zonal project cover
and the fragmentation and shrinking of the distribution area of rare species such as Punica granatum
L., Pistacia atlantica Desf., Pterocarya fraxinifolia (Poir). Spach corresponds to the parameters of
the dangerous ecological situation, such as indicators characterizing the environmental condition
of the area. In the Ganikh-Agrichay valley, lowland forests are highly fragmented, and their
condition worsens. Relatively well preserved, 1 km north of Mughanli village, Zagatala district, and
Kurmukchay, Gakh district. Despite the small area, these forests are floristically rich and the density
of the forest in their untouched areas is 0.9.
