Abstract. A study was conducted to examine plant diversity and insect relationships between
plant species in the arid zone of District Mianwali in Punjab. This area provides suitable conditions
for plant-insect research due to its dry sandy loamy soil characteristics. Researchers compiled a
complete list of 79 entomological floral species, including culinary herbs, medicinal plants, and crops,
while documenting ecological preferences, life forms, flowering times, and conservation status. The
study evaluated entomological processes by tracking pollinators and herbivorous insects in the
environment. The research demonstrates that arid ecosystems contain numerous entomophilous
plants that play essential roles in ecological stability. The study showed that pollinators and
herbivores are specifically linked to diverse plant groups, creating beneficial relationships that
impact plant production. The research highlights the importance of using sustainable farming
methods to protect biodiversity in the arid Mianwali region.
