ANALYSIS OF THE ANATOMICAL STRUCTURE OF SOME GENERATIVE AND VEGETATIVE ORGANS OF THE PLANT SPECIES PORTULACA OLERACEA L. DISTRIBUTED IN THE MOUNTAINOUS AREAS OF THE LESSER CAUCASUS

Abstract
ABSTRACT. In the conducted research, several works have been carried out to study the anatomical structures of plant specimens and various structures encountered within the plant. After the collected plant samples underwent preliminary treatment, their anatomical cross-sections were obtained, and the permanent preparations of the acquired sections were analyzed using a light microscope. The anatomical sections of the sepal from generative organs and the leaf, petiole, stem, and root from vegetative organs were analyzed, and their internal structures were provided. The results allow for determining the structure of tissues with the same function in different plant organs, comparing these structures between organs, and identifying their arrangement throughout the plant. When examining the vascular bundles, it is determined that they are composed of primary structural elements in the leaf. The vascular bundle of the leaf passes through the petiole and enters the stem’s central cylinder. In the root, the xylem extends toward the center of the root, transporting water and dissolved substances, while the phloem adjacent to the xylem plays a direct role in the transportation of organic materials. During the microscopic analyses, similar studies were investigated, and references to specific points were made when necessary.
